Knight Named Off the Block National Defensive Player of the Night

NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Jaret Knight has the honor of earning the first national accolade for Tusculum University men's volleyball. The Grand Blanc, Michigan native was named Off the Block National Defensive Player of the Night for his performance against Lees-McRae.

A sophomore libero, Knight finished the evening with 15 digs, a personal and program match-best. The biology major upped his previous mark by four, made while attending Cumberland University last season.

As a team, five new marks were made, while four Pioneers created new personal highs in the four-set loss. Knight was one of the four to have a career night.

Tusculum will begin to wrap up its extended road swing with a trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Pioneers and Indiana Tech meet on Friday with a 7 p.m. start.
