ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University goalkeeper Alejandro Quiriti has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.  This marks the second time this season Quiriti has earned the league's weekly honor.

The Mar del Plata, Argentina junior recorded his third shutout of the season in Tusculum's 4-0 win over Catawba in the Pioneers' only match of the week.  It was his fourth career shutout at TU and needed just one save to go the distance.

The Pioneers (3-5, 1-2 SAC) return to action on Wednesday as they make the short trip to Jefferson City to take on arch-rival Carson-Newman for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
