HARROGATE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's bowling team finished fifth at the 2021 Lincoln Memorial Collegiate Challenge.
The Pioneers finished the two-day tournament with a total pinfall of 7,205. Host LMU won the team title of its home tournament with 8,272 pins. The University of the Cumberlands was second with 7,635, followed by Belmont Abbey (7423), Midway (7231), Tusculum (7205), Lindsey Wilson (7029), Milligan (6647) and Virginia Tech (5779).
Gabe Taulbee recorded a top-10 individual finish as he posted a five-game total 971, good enough for eighth place. Tucker Strack finished 37th with 712 in his four games, while Jared Vermillion posted a four-game tally of 710 (39th). Tyler Moore was 51st with 604 in his three games. Randall Andrews tallied a three-game total of 530 while Justin Rodgers had a three-game total of 442. Toney Franklin finished with 323 pins in his two games while Lane Bolton posted a 151 in his lone game of individual play.
Tusculum returns to action Jan. 8-9 for the Brandon Burns Memorial to be held in Smyrna, Tennessee.
