ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University guard Donovan Donaldson has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Donaldson earns this honor for a second time this season.
The Nashville, Tennessee senior averaged 25.5 points per game while leading the Pioneers to a pair of league wins to help the Pioneers secure the No. 4 seed in this week's Pilot Flying J SAC Tournament.
Donaldson opened the week with 27 points, four rebounds and five assists in Tusculum's 78-76 win over Lincoln Memorial, which snapped a 24-game losing streak to the Railsplitters. He followed that with 24 points, six boards and five assists in a 77-65 victory over Wingate.
He also averaged five rebounds and five assists per contest during the week while also shooting 55.9 percent from the floor.
Tusculum (16-12) is riding a six-game winning streak heading into Wednesday's SAC Quarterfinal match-up with Lenoir-Rhyne at 7 p.m. from Pioneer Arena.
