Ben Luther joined the Tusculum football coaching staff in 2017 where he serves as the program's offensive line coach.  He also serves as Tusculum's video coordinator and is responsible for the team's summer camp program.

Luther came to Greeneville after serving on the coaching staff in 2016 at NCAA-BCS South Alabama where he assisted with the offensive line.  The Jaquars finished the regular season with a 6-6 record including upset wins at Mississippi State and knocked off 19th-ranked San Diego State.  South Alabama earned a berth in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl where they faced off against Air Force.

He coached two seasons at Tennessee-Martin during the 2014 and 2015 campaigns.  While with the the NCAA-FCS Skyhawks, he served as the tight ends coach and was also the team's video coordinator and assistant strength coach.  Luther mentored standout tight end Corey Johnson who earned a playing opportunity with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.

He served as the assistant offensive line coach at Pearl River Community College and also coordinated the team's strength and conditioning program. While at the Poplarville, Mississippi school he also worked with the tight ends and H-backs for head coach William Jones.  He also served as the offensive line coach for the South Team for the 2013 MACJC All-Star Game.

Luther served as a defensive graduate assistant at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Mississippi.  He worked with the defensive line and assisted with the strength and conditioning program.

He also honed his craft working as a strength coach intern at Alabama in 2012. While in Tuscaloosa, he worked with the national championship football team and worked under Scott Cochran, the two-time Samson Strength Coach of the Year.  Luther worked with notable Crimson Tide players Barrett Jones, Chance Warmack and DJ Fluker, all of whom played in the National Football League.

While completing his bachelor's degree, Luther also spent the 2011 season working at Ole Miss as a student assistant in the strength and conditioning program.  He assisted the strength coaches in implementing the fundamentals and methodologies of Olympic-style lifting with baseball, track & field, women's soccer, volleyball and cheerleading.

Luther's other coaching stops include Holly Spring High School (2011), Oxford High School (2010-2011) and Poplarville High School (2009).

As a player, Luther played at Pearl River Community College for two seasons (2008-2009) before earning his associate degree in 2010.  That followed a stellar high school playing career at Picayune Memorial High School.

Luther graduated from Ole Miss with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and exercise science in 2012 and completed his master's degree from UT-Martin in family and consumer science in 2015 where he graduated with honors.
