The inaugural Tusculum University Athletics Golf Ball Drop will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Tusculum Practice Fields. The top prize is a quarter (25%) of the funds raised, up to $25,000. A "reverse prize" of five percent (5%), or up to $5,000, will be awarded as well.
What is a Golf Ball Drop? When participants purchase a golf ball to enter the raffle, a unique number is added to it. At the designated time, all the numbered golf balls are dropped to the ground from a crane. The participant that owns the ball that lands closest to the marked spot wins the grand prize. The owner of the ball that lands the farthest away wins the "reverse prize".
Golf balls can be purchased starting
January 1, 2023. Golf balls can be purchased individually for $100. Discounts are available when buying in bulk.
The team(s) indicated when purchasing the golf ball(s) have the opportunity to benefit from your generosity.
The event will be streamed live to Facebook on the Tusculum Pioneers page, thus the entrants do not have to be present to win.
All credit card purchases will include an online processing fee. Checks are also accepted and should be made to "Tusculum University Athletics" with Golf Ball Drop and program(s) of your choice in the memo line. Checks must be postmarked by April 15 in order to be accepted. For those wishing to send a check through the mail, envelopes are to be addressed to:
