GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (PSAAC) will host the eighth annual Make-A-Wish 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 6 on the Greeneville campus. (SIGN UP HERE)
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 for participants 18 and older and $15 for participants 17 and under as well as Tusculum University students with a valid TU ID. Teams of 5 may sign up as a group for $100. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, PSAAC's chosen philanthropy.
Registration for the race begins at 7:45 a.m., at the outdoor basketball courts located between Katherine Hall and the Nichols Tennis Complex, the day of the race. Prizes will be awarded for the top the top-five overall finishers. All participants will receive a Goodie Bag, Race T-Shirt, pre and post-race snacks and a "Zeke Zone" for Kids 3-and under will be available for race participants.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish® Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
The purpose of PSAAC is to generate a student-athlete voice within Tusculum University, solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA Division II legislation, suggest potential NCAA legislation, organize community service efforts and create a vehicle for student-athletes' representation on campus-wide and conference-wide committees.
