Cory Pratt was named Tusculum head men's and women's cross country coach in July 17, 2013 and was later named the head coach of the Tusculum track & field program in 2020.

The Tusculum men and women each finished seventh at the SAC Championship in 2018, with Nicole McMillen earning first-team All-SAC honors with a fifth-place finish in her first collegiate race. McMillen then finished fourth at the Southeast Regional and earned a berth in the NCAA Championship, where she placed 59th in a field of 266 runners.

Tusculum placed seventh in the women's race and ninth in the men's at the 2017 SAC Championship, after the Pioneer men's squad had a first-place finish at the Koala Classic, second at the Tusculum open and fourth at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. The Pioneer men's team has won one meet in each of the last four seasons, while the women have had at least one second-place finish each year over the same time frame.

In 2014, Pratt guided the Pioneer men to second place finishes at the Catawba Invitational and the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational, while producing a third place effort at the Hyder-McMahill Invitational. In the postseason, the TC men finished 8th in the South Atlantic Conference Championship and returned to compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional. Every member of the team recorded a new career-best time during the season, with six coming at the Greater Louisville Classic. Pratt coached two-time All-Region and All-SAC standout David Cooper, as he earned his third-straight Capital One Academic All-American award.    

On the women's side, Pratt coached the Pioneers to top-10 finishes in all but one regular season meet that they recorded a team score. TC also finished 10th at the SAC Championship and four runners competed in the NCAA Southeast Regional. Four member of the women's team recorded a new career-best time during the 2014 campaign including sophomore Samantha Vogt, who posted the seventh-fastest 5,000-meter time in Tusculum women’s cross country history at the Royals XC Challenge.

In his first Tusculum campaign, the TU men finished eighth at the SAC Championship, while the Tusculum women placed ninth in the conference meet.  He mentored All-SAC men's standout David Cooper to his second All-Region honor while also picking up his second Capital One Academic All-American award and the 2013 SAC Men's Cross Country Scholar Athlete of the Year honor.

Pratt served four years within the Pioneer Athletics where he assisted with game-day management, NCAA compliance, marketing and promotions, team travel and the Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Pratt previously spent four years in the Tusculum registrar’s office as an academic records specialist before assuming full-time coaching duties.

Pratt graduated from Tusculum in May 2011 where he earned his Bachelor’s degree while majoring in sport management.  He earned his Master’s degree from TU in December, 2017 in human resource development.

The Morristown, Tenn. native was a wide receiver on the Morristown West High School football team during his prep career.

Cory is married to the former Olivia Rhodes of Morristown and the couple resides in Mosheim, Tenn. with their son. His hobbies and activities include all sports, including running and fishing.
