ROCK HILL, S.C. --- For the second time in three weeks, Tusculum University's Nicole McMillen has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
McMillen, a graduate student from Pickering, Ontario, competed in the Women's Blue Division at the Live in Lou Classic this past weekend. She raced her way to a first-place finish in the 5K run with a time of 17:43.55. She held more than an 11 second lead in a field of 531 competitors, covering the first 2.1K in 7:06.7 and the remaining 3.9K in 13:30.0.
In three races this season, McMillen has two victories and a second-place finish, and has finished in the top-five in five of her six career races with the only non-Top-5 coming at the 2019 NCAA II National Championship.
Tusculum returns to action this Saturday as they compete at the Bobcat Invitational in Milledgeville, Georgia.
