Men's cross country stays seventh in USTFCCCA region rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The Tusculum University men's cross country team remains seventh in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Southeast Region poll.

The Pioneers held their ranking after not running in a meet this past weekend. There was only one change in this week's poll, as Queens moved back into first place in the region over Mount Olive after the schools switched spots last week. Augusta, UNC Pembroke and Georgia College stay third through fifth, respectively, followed by Anderson, Tusculum, Flagler, Wingate and Columbus State.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results in determining predicted team finishes at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Tusculum returns to competition this Friday at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens in Charlotte, North Carolina.
