2017 Cross Country Schedule

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum cross country head coach Cory Pratt has released his 2017 schedule.  The Pioneers will be competing in five regular-season races and culminating with the South Atlantic Conference Championship in October. 

The Pioneers will open the season on Friday, Sep. 1 with the Tusculum Open which will be held at the Holston Home Cross Country Course in Greeneville.  The Tusculum men captured first place honors at last year's race with rising senior Jacob Cutshall finishing second individually.  The TC women finished second last year's event with rising sophomore Emily Stoklosa winning the individual title.

TC will be at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational on Friday, Sep. 8 at Southside Park in Newton, North Carolina. It will give the Pioneers a preview of the course which will host the South Atlantic Conference Championship the following month.

TC will be at the UNC Asheville Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23, before returning to North Carolina on Sep. 29 for the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.

Tusculum will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Koala Classic in Columbia, South Carolina and hosted by Columbia College.

The SAC Championship will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at Southside Park in Newton, North Carolina.  At the 2016 conference meet in Columbia, the TC women finished ninth, while the men placed 11th.

The NCAA Division II Southeast Regional will be conducted on Nov. 4 on the campus of Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.  The DII National Championship will be on Nov. 18 in Evansville, Indiana.
