Alley named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Cross Country Team

AUSTIN, Texas --- Tusculum's Makenzi Alley has been named to the 2016-2017 NCAA Division II Academic All-District 3 Women's Cross Country/Track & Field first team as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  
            
Alley, a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio, has a 3.95 cumulative grade point average while majoring in biology.
        
Alley was the team's No. 2 runner during 2016 season as she finished 13th at the Hyder McMahill Invitational and fourth at the Tusculum Open.  She posted a season-best time of 20:49.1 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, finished 54th at the South Atlantic Conference championship and 132nd at the NCAA II Southeast Region championship.

She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
        
Members of the Academic All-District 3 Team are selected by CoSIDA, which includes all colleges and universities in the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and Peach Belt Conference.
