GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-9) victory over Coker College on Saturday afternoon inside Pioneer Arena. Sarah Bouley led Tusculum (8-10, 5-7 South Atlantic Conference) with 10 kills.

Melissa Mazur, the NCAA DII dig leader, registered 26 digs for TC while Hannah Berling dished out 33 assists. Rachel Garnett found the floor on nine kills while Sabrina Schleuger and Danae Stauffer tallied eight and six respectively.

The Pioneers held a narrow 8-7 lead over the Cobras (4-14, 1-12) in the first set before reeling off five-straight points to take a 12-7 advantage. A Madison Bingle kill later in the set drew Coker within two of the lead at 17-15.

However, TC responded with a quick 4-0 spurt to push the lead to 21-15. The Cobras were only able to get back within three before Stauffer ended the frame with a kill. Stauffer had three kills and three blocks in the opening set.

Tusculum led the second set wire-to-wire and used a pair of 3-0 runs to help take a 14-7 lead midway through the frame. A kill by Bouley pushed the Pioneer advantage to 20-11 late in the set before a Cobra service error gave the second set to the Pioneers. TC hit a match-high .306 in the frame on 14 kills and just three errors.

It was all Tusculum in the third set en route to its third sweep of the season. The Pioneers raced out to a commanding 16-4 lead after a 9-0 run. Later in the set, back-to-back kills by Bouley sealed the win. The 16-point set victory was the largest of the season for the Pioneers.

Bingle led Coker with a match-high 11 kills. Regan Kennen tallied 14 digs while Christen Bragg handed out 23 assists.

Multiple players made appearances off the bench for Tusculum. Erin Carmody registered a pair of kills while freshman Ally Soldati notched her first collegiate kill. Cassie Born finished with two digs and Madison Shumaker had a kill on three attacks.

The Pioneers will wrap-up a three-match homestand on Tuesday night against Lincoln Memorial. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
