INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College volleyball team is
listed in five categories in this week's NCAA Division II
statistics.
The Pioneers (19-5, 7-2 SAC) are posting a .272 hitting percentage,
which is tops in the South Atlantic Conference and eighth-best
average in the country. Tusculum is also 34th in won-lost
percentage (.783), 43rd in assists per set (11.67 aps), 46th in
kills per set (12.8 kps) and 49th in blocks per set (2.03 bps).
Sophomore outside hitter Katie Luebke
(Bellefontaine, Ohio) is averaging 3.61 kills per set, which is
fourth-best in the league and 33rd in the country. Senior middle
blocker Kelsey Hayden (Colorado Springs, Colo.) is
second in the conference with her .338 hitting percentage, which is
37th in NCAA II. Rookie setter Peyton Colclough
(Manassas, Va.) is guiding the Tusculum offense with her 9.87
assists per set, which are tops in the SAC and 42nd in the
nation.
Tusculum has won its last seven matches and nine of its last 10.
The Pioneers will be on the road for a pair of important league
outings this weekend. TC will be at Newberry College on Friday (7
p.m.), followed by a Saturday clash with SAC front-runner Wingate
University (5 p.m.).
