In the first set, Tusculum jumped out a 16-10 lead, thanks to five
straight points on Colclough's serve. Following a BC timeout, the
Tornados would chip away at the deficit, going on an 8-1 run to
take an 18-17 advantage. Later in the frame, Tusculum would be
serving for set point on two occasions, including 27-26. But kills
by Jordei Osby and Chelsey Trojan
and a service ace by Chelsea Larsen sealed the
27-27 first set win for the Tornados.
The second set saw the Pioneers forge out to a 15-6 advantage,
including four straight points by Coffaro and Luebke. TC would win
the set 25-10. The Pioneers would never relinquish the lead in the
third set either as Colclough had the hot had with three straight
points as TC used a 14-6 spurt to close out the frame and a 25-14
triumph.
The fourth set look to be more of the same as Tusculum sprinted
out to a 5-0 advantage, all on Colclough's serve. The Tornados
wouldn't go away as BC used a 9-4 run to knot the set at 9-9,
thanks to a pair of kills by Ashlie Morrison. TC
moved ahead again 22-14 with a four-point run by Garcia. But the
Tornados rallied with Lindsey Rogers accounting
for four straight points as TC only led 22-19. Tusculum went up
23-19 following a kill by Kelsey Hayden, but the
Tornados would score the next three points, including a kill by
Morrison to make the score 23-22. After a TC timeout, Coffaro
tallied a kill, while Hayden sealed match point with a kill to
claim the set 25-23.

when the Pioneers travel to Harrogate, Tenn. to face in-state foe
Lincoln Memorial University for a 6:30 p.m. match. Brevard will
host Catawba College this Friday night at 6 p.m.
