Women's TENNIS BEATS KING, PIONEERS IMPROVE TO 6-0

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team remained undefeated, while posting its third straight shutout as the No. 31 Pioneers defeated visiting King College, 9-0 Thursday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex. The Tornados fall to 1-2 on the year.

Tusculum (6-0) swept the three doubles matches, sparked by an 8-0 pro set win by the No. 3 duo of Kristen Keefer and Heidi von der Lage.

The Pioneers also got straight-set singles wins by Jennifer Sparks, Katelyn Doss, Amanda Pike, Blake Thompson, von der Lage and Crowe.

Tusculum returns to action on Saturday as the Pioneers travel to Tigerville, S.C. to face North Greenville University.
