KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Tusculum women's soccer team is ranked ninth in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's Southeast Region rankings, for the week ending Oct. 8.

The Pioneers (8-3-0) won two of their three matches last week, losing to regionally-ranked Limestone 2-1 on Monday before recording shutout wins against Lees-McRae on Wednesday (2-0) and Coker on Sunday (6-0).

The top three teams are unchanged in this week's region poll, with Flagler (10-0-1) leading the way followed by Carson-Newman (10-0-1) and Columbus State (8-1-0). Wingate (7-1-0) and Queens (7-2-1) moved up from fifth to fourth and seventh to fifth, respectively, while Young Harris (6-2-1) and North Georgia (7-3-2) each moved up two spots to sixth and seventh.

Limestone (9-2-0), which lost to North Georgia 3-0 last week, dropped from fourth to eighth, followed by Tusculum and Lenoir-Rhyne (6-4-1), which rejoined the rankings this week in tenth.
