Women's soccer announces two schedule changes

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum women's soccer team has announced two schedule changes, one involving this weekend's Bobcat Shootout in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Friday's match with Palm Beach Atlantic has been cancelled. Classes at the West Palm Beach, Florida campus have been called off on Thursday and Friday due to the projected threat of Hurricane Irma later this weekend.

Instead, Tusculum will be facing No. 2 nationally-ranked Columbus State on Friday at 4 p.m. at Georgia College's Bobcat Field in Milledgeville.  The Cougars (2-0) scheduled home tournament for this weekend involving Nova Southeastern and Barry has been cancelled, also due to the hurricane threat affecting those Florida schools.

Tusculum's match with Georgia College is still slated for Sunday at 3 p.m.

With the schedule change, the Pioneers' Oct. 25 home match with Columbus State is now cancelled for this year and is slated to be rescheduled for the 2018 season.

Tusculum (1-1) will play its home opener tonight (Wednesday) against Tennessee Wesleyan at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
