Tusculum moves up to 7th in NSCAA Southeast Region poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Tusculum College moved up two places to seventh in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Women's Soccer Southeast Region poll, through games of Monday, Oct. 10.

The Pioneers (7-2-2, 5-0-1 SAC) defeated Brevard 1-0 on Wednesday in their only match of the week. Tusculum's match at Coker, which had been scheduled for Saturday, was moved to this Wednesday due to Hurricane Matthew.

Columbus State retains the top spot in the Southeast Region this week, with North Georgia, Limestone and Carson-Newman holding on to positions two through four. Armstrong State and Lenoir-Rhyne flip-flopped spots five and six, followed by Tusculum, UNC Pembroke, Belmont Abbey and Catawba.

The NSCAA College Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for selection to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship

At 5-0-1, Tusculum is in sole possession of first place in the SAC heading into conference games at Coker on Wednesday and at Pioneer Field on Friday against Mars Hill, beginning at 5 p.m.
