KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team is ranked ninth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Southeast Region poll, through games of Sunday, Oct. 2
The Pioneers defeated Newberry 1-0 in double overtime in their only match last week, improving their overall record to 6-2-2 and 4-0-1 in the South Atlantic Conference.
Columbus State moved up a spot to number one in this week's regional rankings, followed by North Georgia, Limestone, former number one Carson-Newman and Lenoir-Rhyne. The second five consists of Armstrong State, Catawba, UNC Pembroke, Tusculum and survey newcomer Belmont Abbey.
The NSCAA College Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for selection to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship.
Tusculum is back home Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against Brevard in a SAC match at Pioneer Field.
