Box score GREENEVILLE, Tenn. ---

Tusculum College and Anderson University played to a 0-0 tie in South Atlantic Conference Women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

The Pioneers (4-3-3, 2-0-2 SAC) recorded their fifth consecutive shutout, as junior goalkeeper Marissa Williams made three saves for her sixth shutout of the year and the 20th of her career, which ties the program career record set by Jennie Murphy from 1999 to 2002. Williams set a new personal best as she extended her streak without allowing a goal to 496 minutes, 8 seconds.

Tusculum finished with an 18-9 advantage in shots over Anderson (2-4-4, 1-0-4 SAC), but freshman keeper Sadie Lancaster came up with nine saves in her first career start for the Trojans. The Pioneers outshot the Trojans 15-3 in regulation, but Anderson came back to take six of the nine shots in overtime.

The Pioneers had a 9-1 lead in shots in the first half, but were kept off the board as Lancaster made five saves. Tusculum outshot Anderson 6-2 in the second half before the Trojans put a dent into the shot margin in overtime.

Tusculum finished the match with a 7-4 edge in corner kicks, while Anderson was called for 14 fouls to 11 by the Pioneers.

The Pioneers will play their next four matches on the road, starting Wednesday at Brevard beginning at 1:30 p.m.
