For the second time this season, Tusculum College junior forward
Tramicka James has been named the South Atlantic Conference Player
of the Week in Women's soccer, earning the honors for the week
ending Oct. 23.
James scored the game-winning goal with 18 seconds left in the
second half, her second of the game, to lift Tusculum to a 2-1
victory over Catawba on Saturday. Earlier in the week, James
accounted for the Pioneers' only goal in a 2-1 loss to Lincoln
Memorial on Thursday.
James leads the SAC with 14 goals and 31 points in 16 matches, and
ranks among the NCAA Division II leaders in each category. Her 42
career goals are fourth all-time in program history, and her 99
career points leave James one point shy of becoming the third
player in program history to reach the 100-point milestone.
The Pioneers (9-6-1 overall, 4-3-0 South Atlantic Conference) head
to the road for their final two regular-season matches, starting
Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Carson-Newman.
