The Tusculum College Women's soccer team moved up one spot to
seventh in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of
America/Continental Tire Division II Southeast Region rankings,
released Tuesday.
The Pioneers (8-3-0) extended their winning streak to five matches
with a 2-1 win over Mars Hill and a 1-0 victory at King. Tusculum
replaced Flagler in seventh place in the rankings, after the Saints
lost to Florida Southern and North Georgia to drop to 10th.
Lenoir-Rhyne (10-1-0) continues to hold the top spot in the
regional rankings, joined in first place by North Georgia (10-0-0).
Rounding out the top five are Armstrong Atlantic State (8-2-1),
Columbus State (8-3-2) and Lander (8-1-1). UNC Pembroke (8-3-1)
drops one spot to sixth, followed by Tusculum, Mount Olive (8-1-1),
Lees-McRae (8-2-1) and Flagler (6-6-0) in tenth.
The Pioneers, who saw their five-match winning streak end with a
5-0 loss at Wingate on Tuesday, travel to Young Harris for a 3 p.m.
match on Thursday.
