Women's Soccer drops 2-0 league match at Brevard

BREVARD, N.C. --- Brevard College goalkeeper recorded 10 saves and a shutout to lead the Tornados to a 2-0 South Atlantic Conference women's soccer win over Tusculum College Tuesday afternoon.

The Pioneers (3-6, 0-3 SAC) out-shot Brevard (3-5-1, 1-1 SAC) by a 26-8 margin, including 10-2 on corner kicks, but the Tornados tallied a pair of goals on their eight shots to post their first-ever victory over Tusculum.

BC's Lindsay Pritchard got on the board first in the 32nd minute when she scored on a free kick from five yards inside the midfield stripe. Nikki Peacock added another goal at the 79:54 mark.

Tusculum keeper Kelsey Cunningham recorded three saves in her 90 minutes of play.

The Pioneers return to action this Saturday as they travel to Newberry College for a 2 p.m. match.
