Katherine “Katie” Tomassoni joined the Tusculum Pioneer staff as the men’s and women’s golf graduate assistant in 2019.

While a Tusculum student, Tomassoni spent her summers working at different golf courses in Florida. She was the Head Summer Camp Leader at the Golf Channel of Fort Myers in 2019, where she instructed campers, ages 10-15, on golf techniques. As a summer camp leader this previous two summers at the Alico Family Golf Center in Estero, she taught children of all ages to learn and enjoy golf.

Tomassoni also spent time in Ohio at the Southwest Golf Ranch as an assistant golf professional and an instructor at the Southwest Summer Camp.

A four-year member of the Pioneer golf team, Tomassoni graduated from Tusculum in May 2019 with a bachelor in sport management. She was a three-time All-Conference selection, All-America Scholar-Athlete, and SAC Commissioner Honor Roll member.  Tomassoni was also the Vice President of the Tusculum Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years. Every season, she was named to the Dean’s List, Charles Oliver Gray Honor’s List, and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. Tomassoni was the recipient of the SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2018 for women’s golf.
