SUNSET BEACH, N.C. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team posted 311 for a second straight day to finish third at the 2019 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate with a two-day score of 622.
The Pioneers have finished third or better in all three of its fall events this season including a win at the Mars Hill Invitational and a third-place showing at last week's King Invitational.
Tusculum senior Jennifer Keim finished in a three-way tie for third place after firing 74-75=149. Her final round included four bogeys, 13 pars and a birdie. She has claimed All-Tournament accolades in all three of her tournaments this year, including back-to-back runner-up performances to open the season.
Lenoir-Rhyne captured the team title as the Bears shot a final round 301 to finish with 603, two shots ahead of runner-up Mount Olive. Tusculum was third, followed by Lander (633), Lincoln Memorial (642), Emmanuel (660), Coker (661) and Newberry (668).
TU freshman Yen Xuan Ong tied for 16th place with 81-77=158, while sophomore Olivia Cunningham finished with 83-78=161 to tie for 20th in her fall debut. The duo of Taylor Gransen (81-81=162) and Bianca Findlay (75-87=162) tied for 22nd to cap the Tusculum scoring.
The Pioneers will wrap up their fall season next Monday and Tuesday at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, North Carolina.
