SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum women's golf team fired a final round score of 299 to finish with a two-day total of 604, good enough for fourth place at the 2017 Patsy Rendleman Invitational.  The 36-hole event was held at The Country Club of Salisbury and hosted by Catawba College.

TC's final round 299 is the fifth lowest team score in school history while the 36-hole total of 604 is the fourth-best in the Pioneer record book.

Tusculum senior Ciara Rattana carded her second 73 (+1) in as many days to finish with 146 and tie for sixth place.

TC junior Cydney Murrell matched a collegiate career low with her one-under par 71 on Tuesday.  Murrell finished with 147 to tie for eighth place.  She matches the 71 she carded at last year's Tusculum Fall Classic.

Lenoir-Rhyne led wire-to-wire to win the Rendleman Invitational team title as the Bears posted back-to-back rounds of 295 to finish with 590.  Limestone was second with 601, followed by Anderson (603), Tusculum (604) and North Georgia (605) to round out the top-five.

Young Harris was sixth with 606, followed by Carson-Newman (610), Queens University of Charlotte (616), Erskine (623), Catawba (631), Coker (639), North Greenville (640), Belmont Abbey (647), Barton (648), King (652), Chowan (689) and Pfeiffer (722).

Tusculum junior Katie Tomassoni finished tied for 30^th place with 75-80=155, while junior Taylor White finished 35^th with 81-75=156).  Sophomore Maggienella Basile shot consecutive rounds of 83 to shoot 166 and finish 65^th.  TC freshman Makenzie Butler shot 89-88=177 to tie for 76^th place, playing as an individual competitor.

The Pioneers are back in action next week (Oct. 16-17) at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial in Dahlonega, Georgia and hosted by the University of North Georgia.
