SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum College women's golf team shot a final round 311 to finish with a two-day total of 630, good enough for third place honors at the 2015 Patsy Rendleman Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at the Country Club of Salisbury and hosted by Catawba College.

Pioneer freshman Katie Tomassoni fired a two-over 74 for a second straight day to post a two-round score of 148 to finish tied for third place.

Tusculum was the top finisher of the five South Atlantic Conference teams who were competing on the par-72, 6,005-yard layout.

West Georgia led wire-to-wire as the Wolves finished with 607, two shots ahead of runner-up UNC Pembroke. Tusculum was third, followed by King (633), Lenoir-Rhyne (635), Lincoln Memorial (645), Anderson (648), Pfeiffer (648), Belmont Abbey (653), Converse (654), North Greenville (659), Erskine (669), Coker (670) and Barton (715).

Tomassoni, who posted her second consecutive top-three performance, finished four shots behind tournament medalist Franziska Bremm of West Georgia, who posted a 71-73=144.

Tomassoni's 148 is the sixth lowest 36-hole score in program history and the lowest two-round tally by a Tusculum freshman.

Tusculum sophomore Ciara Rattana finished in the top-10 for a second time in as many tournaments, as she tied for seventh place with 73-77=150. Blythe Scrivner and Taylor White finished tied for 38th place with a tournament total of 166, while Taylor Lambertsen rounded out the team scoring for the Pioneers with 88-87=175.

Freshman Cydney Murrell, playing as an individual competitor, tied for 20th place with 76-84=160. Senior Calley Lawson, who was also playing as an individual, finished 57th with 83-90=173.

The Pioneers return to action Oct. 26-27 as they compete at the Flagler Fall Slam in Florida.
