GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's golf team rallied from a two-stroke deficit to win the 10th annual Tusculum Fall Classic on a wet and rainy Tuesday at Link Hills Country Club. Tuesday's final round was shortened to nine holes due to a two-and-a-half hour weather delay.

The Pioneers finished with a 27-hole total of 464, edging first-round leader Lenoir-Rhyne University by a single-stroke (465). Milligan College finished third with 480, while Tusculum B shot 487 to finish fourth. Mars Hill University carded 504 to finish fifth, followed by Lincoln Memorial University B (507), Brevard College (515) and Spartanburg Methodist College (560).

The Pioneers capture their third Tusculum Fall Classic championship overall and win this event for the second time in the last four years.

Mars Hill sophomore Emma Lundvall captured medalist honors as she posted a final day 35 (-1) to finish with 111, one shot ahead of runner-up Abbey Hartsell of Lenoir-Rhyne (73-39=112) and two strokes better than the Tusculum duo of Ciara Rattana (75-38=113) and Katie Tomassoni (76-37=113). Tomassoni's 37 was the second-lowest score on the day.

TC Black's Blythe Scrivner tied for seventh place with 73-44=117. TC junior Taylor Lambertsen shot 77-41=118 to finish in sole possession of 11th place, while freshman Taylor White tied for 12th place with 78-42=120.

Senior Calley Lawson, representing TC Black, tied for 15th with 81-40=121 for 15th place, while rookies Cydney Murrell (79-44=123) and Kelsey Haun (81-42=123) tied for 19th place. Lindsay Butler (87-42=129) and Trista Holder (83-46=129) tied for 29th, while Kelly Horrell (84-49=133, 33rd) and Sayre Hopper (98-53=151, 42nd) rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers.

Tusculum returns to action next Monday and Tuesday as they compete at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the Ocean Ridge Plantation in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
