TUSCULUM WOMEN FINISH SIXTH AT RENDLEMAN INVITATIONAL

SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum College Women's golf team fired a two-day 671 and tied for sixth place at the 2007 Patsy Rendleman Invitational, held this week at the Country Club of Salisbury.

Tusculum posted a 337 for Tuesday's final round. Belmont Abbey finished with 633 to win the team competition, three shots better than second place Pfeiffer (636). Wingate finished third with 638, followed by Newberry (649), host Catawba (663), Tusculum, Queens (671), Lenoir-Rhyne (673), Lincoln Memorial (677), Anderson (678), UNC Pembroke (702), Presbyterian (706) and St. Andrews (761).

Tusculum's Mary Ann Vizcarrondo shot 75-86=161 to tie for 15th place. Susanne Sisco carded a consistent 83-82=165 to tie for 22nd. Mandy Hartsock tied for 35th with 88-83=171, while Emily Palenkas finished 43rd with 88-86=174. Adriana Vizcarrondo posted back-to-back rounds of 89 to shoot 178 (T47th).

The Pioneers return to action in Feb. 9-10 when they host the Tusculum/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island, S.C.
