WEST BABYLON, N.Y. --- Tusculum University freshman Raycine Mortensen has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie Bowler of the Week announced league officials Thursday.
Mortensen, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, posted a 188.20 scoring average as the Pioneers finished 10th at the Hammer Bearcat Open.
Mortensen paced TU to a 6-6 record and carded a team-best 202 in the Pioneers' win over St. Francis-Brooklyn. Mortensen's average was 20th in the tournament.
Tusculum (11-14) returns to action next weekend (Nov. 8-10) as the Pioneers compete at the Warhawk Classic in Madison, Wisconsin.
