Pioneers picked 11th in ECC Bowling Poll

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. --- The Tusculum University women's bowling team is picked to finish 11th in the East Coast Conference standings this season with the release of the Preseason ECC Coaches' Poll.

The Pioneers, who are playing in their inaugural season in 2019-2020, garnered 58 points in a poll of the conference's 14 head coaches.

Lincoln Memorial is the preseason favorite as the Railsplitters garnered 187 total points including seven first place votes.  Adelphi is second with 184 points and four first place nods, while Caldwell rounds out the top-three with 164 points and three first place votes.

Molloy is fourth with 139 points, followed by Kutztown (137), Chestnut Hill (127), Wilmington (114), Roberts Wesleyan (87), Felician (83), Daemen (78), Tusculum (58), Mercyhurst (46), Bloomfield (40) and St. Thomas Aquinas (26).

The Pioneers are associate members of the East Coast Conference starting this fall in the sport of women's bowling.

Tusculum opens the season this weekend at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate in New Orleans.  The Pioneers first 10 contests will be against seven teams ranked in this year's National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA).
