GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- This Saturday's women's basketball season-opener between Tusculum University and Wingate University is back on schedule according to officials. Tip-off time of the women's game is slated for 2 p.m. followed by the men's game at Pioneer Arena on the Greeneville campus.
On Wednesday, officials announced that the women's game would be postponed due to Wingate players being quarantined due to contact tracing with the coronavirus. According to the South Atlantic Conference Return to Play Protocol for Basketball, contests cannot be postponed or cancelled due to quarantining due to contact tracing alone. At this time, no Wingate players have tested positive.
