Pioneers remain sixth in D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll

DURANGO, Colo. --- The Tusculum women's basketball team remains sixth in the latest D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll, through games of Dec. 10.

The Pioneers (7-2, 2-1 South Atlantic Conference) held their position in the rankings despite losing on the road to Catawba by a 70-58 score on Saturday in their only game of the week.

Carson-Newman (11-0), the only unbeaten team in the region, received all six first-place votes to lead this week's rankings, with Wingate (7-1) and Lander (6-2) remaining second and third, respectively. North Georgia (6-1) is fourth, with Limestone (6-2) dropping one spot to fifth. Following the Pioneers in the poll is Anderson (7-3) in seventh, with Columbus State (3-2), Lincoln Memorial (4-3) and Belmont Abbey (6-3) rounding out the top 10.

The Pioneers host Coker on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Arena, then travel to Wingate to face the Bulldogs on Saturday at 2 p.m.
