Tusculum remains 8th in D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. --- For the second consecutive week, the Tusculum women's basketball team is ranked eighth in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll, through games of Nov. 26.

The Pioneers (5-1) lost 95-71 Wednesday night to Virginia State, ranked seventh in the Atlantic Region, then defeated Bluefield State 78-41 on the road on Saturday.

Carson-Newman (7-0) remains atop the rankings after a pair of blowout wins over Shorter and Columbus State, while Lander (3-1) and Wingate (4-1) switched positions after the Bearcats defeated the Bulldogs 81-76. Limestone (3-1) and Francis Marion (3-1) rounded out the top five, followed by North Georgia (4-1), Lincoln Memorial (3-2), Tusculum, Columbus State (2-2) and Anderson (4-2) to round out the top 10.

The Pioneers will be home Wednesday evening to open their South Atlantic Conference schedule against Lincoln Memorial, with game time at 6 p.m. from Pioneer Arena.
