Sterlen Paul is entering his second year on the coaching staff at Tusculum University as an assistant coach.  Coach Paul works with both the Pioneer cross country and track & field programs, working primarily with the distance runners.

Paul, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, was a former student-athlete at Abilene Christian and Wiley College where he excelled both on and off the track.

He garnered All-Conference honors at Wiley where was also a member of the Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He accumulated 21 points to help Wiley capture its first conference championship in 32 years.  He ran the first leg of the men's conference winning 4x800m team.  He also helped anchor Wiley's 4x400 me team that earned league runner-up honors.  He also finished third at the conference championships in both the 400 and 800m.

He later went onto Abilene Christian where he finished as the Wildcats No. 2 runner as ACU finished as runner-up at the Southland Conference championship.  He garnered All-Conference honors on the DMR team at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships.  He also led ACU to the finish line at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree and the North Texas Invitational.

He graduated from Abilene Christian with Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sports and recreation management in 2017.

Paul previously taught weight training, lifetime wellness and walking for fitness at Abilene Christian University. He also, interned with the Cool Runnings Athletic Club in Abilene, Texas as an assistant coach for track & field and cross country.
