NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Three members of the Tusculum University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams have received All-Region honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Sophomore Widchard Guervil and junior Guillaume Devries earned All-Region honors for men, while senior Nicole McMillen was a women's All-Region selection. The top five individuals in each event from each of the eight regions of Division II received All-Region status from the USTFCCCA.

Guervil, the 2018 USTFCCCA Southeast Region Track Athlete of the Year, received All-Region honors in both the 100 meters and 200 meters for the Pioneers after sweeping gold in both events at the South Atlantic Conference Championship meet last month. His time of 10.31 seconds in the 100 meters set at the Gamecock Invitational on April 13 was a school record, while his mark of 20.86 seconds at the same meet is the fastest among all SAC runners this season.

Devries duplicated his indoor All-Region status in the high jump during the outdoor season, clearing a season-best 2.08 meters (6 feet, 9 3/4 inches) at the Gamecock Invitational on April 13 for the top performance in the Southeast Region this season.

Devries was first or second in the high jump in five of his six outdoor competitions this season, as the Valenciennes, France product won at the Wofford Terrier Relays (2.05 meters), the SAC Championship (2.00 meters) and the Montreat Last Chance Twilight meet (2.07 meters).

McMillen had the best times in the Southeast Region in both the 1500 meters and steeplechase, and also earned All-Region status in the 5000 meters. She won all three events at the SAC Championship meet and earned SAC Track Athlete of the Year honors, then finished second in the 1500 at the Tennessee Challenge on May 4 in a school-record time of 4:37.74. McMillen then moved into the top five nationally in the steeplechase by running 10:25.37 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Friday night.

McMillen, who also won the SAC Indoor championship in the mile, had a season-best time of 17:49.32 in the 5000 meters which she set in a victory at the Wofford Terrier Relays on March 30. The Pickering, Ontario native had received All-Region status in both the mile and the 3000 meters during the indoor season and in cross country during the fall.

Both Guervil (100 and 200) and McMillen (steeplechase) have been selected to compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held May 23-25 at Texas A&M Kingsville.
