JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- The Tusculum men's and women's indoor track and field teams wrapped up competition at the two-day ETSU Invitational Saturday afternoon at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.
The Pioneers will return to competition on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 19 and 20 at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
MEN
Freshman Widchard Guervil, who provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II championships in the 60 meters with a time of 6.86 in preliminaries on Friday, ran in the Saturday's finals and finished third in his heat and fifth overall with a time of 6.92 seconds.
In the shot put, Travis Johnson finished 25th with a mark of 12.51 meters (41 feet, 1/2 inch), while Jamyson Boyd was the Pioneers' top finisher in the long jump with a leap of 5.88 meters (19 feet, 3 1/2 inches) for 29th place. J'Quen Johnson led Tusculum in the mile run with a time of 4:56.72 that put him in 41st place overall.
WOMEN
The Pioneers competed in the 3000 meters on Saturday, with Nicole McMillen finishing 18th with a time of 11:23.89. Alissa Furches took 19th place with a time of 11:24.25, followed in 20th place by Emily Stoklosa in 21st in 11:24.46.
