LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Tusculum University softball team had 13 student-athletes named 2022-23 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the Association announced on Tuesday (Aug. 1) afternoon. The Pioneers were among nearly 8,300 student-athletes that earned the honor, including 1,790 across Division II.
ROCK HILL, S.C. --- One-hundred-and-ninety-seven (197) Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2022-2023 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. The conference had 2,888 student-athletes from the league's 13 member institutions honored for their achievements in the classroom.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Three-hundred-and-eighty-five (385) student-athletes have been named to the 2023 Tusculum University Athletic Director's Spring Honor Roll announced Josh Ealy, director of athletics.
AUSTIN, Texas --- Five Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2023 NCAA Division II Softball Academic All-District® 3 team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Kallyn Newport was voted to the South Atlantic Conference third team by the league’s head coaches, announced by SAC office on Wednesday (Apr. 26). TU has had at least one player named to an all-conference dating back to 2011 (with the COVID year not included).
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University softball team wrapped up its 2023 campaign at Red Edmonds Field on Friday (Apr. 21). Prior to first pitch, the Pioneers honored Hailey Berglof, Chloe Freischmidt, Katelynn Hodges, Hannah Hughes, Hayley Lazo, and Kallyn Newport.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University softball team earned a sweep of Anderson for the first time in a decade with Wednesday’s (Mar. 29) wins over the Trojans. This also marked a matchup between two of the South Atlantic Conference’s longest tenured softball coaches: Anderson’s Tommy Hewitt and Tusculum’s Julie Huebner.

DUNCAN, S.C. --- The Tusculum University softball team has run its winning streak up to four games after its sweep of Converse on Friday (Mar. 24). The TU pitcher combined for 12 strikeouts, relenting seven hits, across 12 innings of work.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University softball team won the twin bill over the visiting Coker Cobras on Saturday afternoon (Mar. 18). Freshman Sammy Jimenez homered in both games, while senior Emily Sappington became the first pitcher in program history to record a 400th career strikeout.
SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum University softball team fell twice behind two late-inning comebacks by the Catawba Indians on Thursday afternoon (Mar. 16).
MARS HILL, N.C. --- The Tusculum University softball team earned its first two South Atlantic Conference victories on Saturday afternoon (Mar. 11) in the visit to Mars Hill.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University softball team lost a two-game pitchers' duel on Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 8) to visiting Lincoln Memorial. With the fourth strikeout of her outing, Emily Sappington became the program’s all-time leader in career strikeouts.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University baseball third baseman Christian Ortega and softball outfielder Claire Smeltzer have been named the Applebee’s Student-Athletes of the Month for February.
HICKORY, N.C. --- The Tusculum University softball team was hammered by the Lenoir-Rhyne bats on Saturday (Mar. 4) behind a combined 21 hits by the Bears, including five home runs.
EMORY, Va. --- The Tusculum University softball team scored just once in the South Atlantic Conference doubleheader at Emory & Henry on Wednesday (Mar. 1), despite a combined 12 hits.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- For her impressive performance in the diamond last week, Chloe Freischmidt has been named by two organizations as their Player of the Week. She was honored by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) and South Atlantic Conference.
