Start times for Saturday's games moved up 90 minutes

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The start times for Saturday's Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship games have been moved ahead 90 minutes due to the threat of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Saturday's first contest, a elimination game between fifth-seeded Tusculum College and fourth-seeded Carson-Newman College, will now begin at 10:30 a.m. at Red Edmonds Field on the Tusculum campus,. The winners bracket final between top-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne University and third-seeded Anderson University will follow at 1:00 p.m. The final game of the day, between the winner of the first game and the loser of the second game, will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Sunday's championship game remains scheduled for 1:00 p.m., with the winner of the championship earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Softball Tournament. An if-necessary game would be played at 3:30 p.m.
