Wingo earns IVA player of the week honors

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- For the fourth time this season, Tusculum University men's volleyball junior Deklan Wingo has been named the Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (IVA) Offensive Player of the Week.

In the week's three matches, Wingo tallied 53 kills (4.42 per set), two assists, 16 digs, and three block assists. He reached double-digit kills in each contest, including a season-high 24 against Thomas More. Wingo notched 15 kills at North Greenville on a .448 hitting percentage.

On the season, Wingo is averaging 3.43 kills on a .235 clip with 1.33 digs and .32 blocks per set for Tusculum.

Tusculum (6-21, 1-4 IVA) travels to nearby Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, April 6. The Pioneers and Railsplitters have agreed to a 2 p.m. start.
