Won five straight singles matches from Oct. 11-Mar. 10... Rallied from a set down in a 3-6, 6-4, 11-9 win over Palm Beach Atlantic's Rodolfo Hasegawa (Mar. 9) in No. 3 singles... 2016-17: All-South Atlantic Conference second team (singles)... All-South Atlantic Conference honorable mention (doubles - with David Siegle)... Played most of the season at number-two singles for the Pioneers and finished with an 11-8 record... 7-4 record in conference matches, and had a 4-2 record in contests that went to either a third set or a tiebreaker... Won five of the nine matches in which he split the first two sets... The doubles team of Fernandez and Siegle was a perfect 6-0 in SAC matches, and finished 7-4 while playing primarily at No. 3 doubles... The pairing won six of its last seven matches together, with the only loss coming to nationally-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic.
