Anderson comes back for 6-3 win over Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Anderson won five of six singles matches to defeat Tusculum 6-3 in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action Tuesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Trojans (16-4, 6-3 SAC) trailed 2-1 after doubles, but came back against the Pioneers (10-8, 5-4 SAC) to win their third straight match and send Tusculum to its fourth consecutive defeat.

In doubles, David Siegle and Leon Seiz defeated Ignacio Bidegain and Fabricio Lanza 8-6 at flight two, and Tashique Kader teamed with Yago Fernandez for an 8-6 win over Juan Carracedo and Preston Morpeth at flight three.

The Pioneers' lone singles win came at flight six, where Siegle came from a set down to defeat Morpeth 4-6, 6-3 and 10-6 in the tiebreaker.

Tusculum will be home Saturday to host 31st-ranked Bluefield State at the Nichols Tennis Complex. The match will be Senior Day, with the Pioneers honoring Siegle and Seiz prior to the start of action against the Big Blues.
