Men's soccer to honor memory of longtime friend at Sep. 16 home opener

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's soccer program will be honoring the memory of one of its longtime supporters at its Sept. 16 home opener against Coker University.

Henry Higgins, who passed away this past April, was a tremendous supporter of the University, but especially its men's soccer program over the years. He and his wife Anne, became adopted family to members of the program over the years and stayed in touch with them.

The team is dedicating the 2023 season to Henry's memory and his family. The Pioneers will honor Henry with a moment of silence prior to the 4:30 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 16.

Admission to Tusculum University soccer matches is free and open to the public.

The Pioneers (3-0-0, 0-0-0 SAC) will open South Atlantic Conference play this Saturday at Lenoir-Rhyne University for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
