TUSCULUM SEEDED SECOND IN SAC MEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT,
PIONEERS HOST MARS HILL TUESDAY

ROCK HILL, S.C. --- The Tusculum College men's soccer team will be the No. 2 seed and host seventh-seeded Mars Hill College in a quarterfinal round match of the 2007 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
Tusculum (9-7-2) captured a share of its second SAC Championship as the Pioneers posted a 5-1-1 league record.

Tusculum defeated Mars Hill 2-0 on Oct. 3 as Bruno Conceicao recorded both scoring tallies for the Pioneers. The Lions (8-8-3) finished the regular season strong going 2-0-2 in its last four matches, including a 1-1 tie against fourth-ranked Lincoln Memorial University.

LMU is the top seed in this year's tournament and they will host No. 8 seed Catawba College on Tuesday. Wingate is the No. 3 seed and they will host sixth-seeded Newberry, while No. 4 Carson-Newman College entertains No. 5 Lenoir-Rhyne College in a quarterfinal match.

The winner of the Tusculum/Mars Hill match will face the Wingate/Newberry winner on Friday at 3 p.m. at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. The tournament final will be played this Sunday at 1 p.m. in Rock Hill.
