The Suffern, New York product starred in the Tusculum cage from 2015-2017 where he was a three-time most valuable player including his senior campaign where he garnered All-South Atlantic Conference second team recognition. He led the Pioneers to a school-record 11-4 season as TC finished runner-up in the conference and advanced to the SAC semifinals for a second straight season.  Tusculum established numerous program bests as the Pioneers earned a top-20 national ranking in four consecutive weeks.

In 2017, Haggerty started all 15 games in goal and ranked third in the league in both goals against average (8.35) and save percentage (.584), setting career bests in each category. He had 10 or more saves in 10 games and registered at least nine saves in all eight conference contests en route to ending the season with 163 stops. Haggerty had a season-high 16 saves against Lenoir-Rhyne, and finished the year by averaging 13 saves per game in the Pioneers' final six contests.

He earned SAC All-Tournament Team recognition in 2017 as Haggerty recorded 28 total saves and posted a 6.00 goals against average in his two SAC Tournament outings.  He allowed just four goals in an 11-4 SAC Quarterfinal win over Lincoln Memorial , matching a season-high with his 16 saves against the Railsplitters. In the SAC Semifinal against No. 11 Wingate, he was brilliant in the cage once again where he finished with a dozen saves marking his sixth straight outing with 10 or more stops.

Haggerty is the program's career leader in every goalkeeping category, including games (43), minutes (2,529), goals against average (9.92), saves (468), save percentage (.543) and wins (21).  He was also named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the week on four occasions during his career.

He graduated from Tusculum in 2017 with a degree in math education and was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
