Pioneers remain among teams receiving votes in USILA poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Tusculum University men's lacrosse team continues to receive votes in this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II rankings, through games of March 20.

The Pioneers (7-2, 1-2 South Atlantic Conference) dropped their second straight game on Saturday with a 22-9 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne, which entered last week ranked 14th and fell one spot to 15th in the latest poll. Tusculum picked up several points in the poll despite the loss and are one of 13 teams listed as receiving votes in this week's survey. The Pioneers have been included among the teams receiving votes in each of the last five weeks.

Tampa (7-0) moved into first place in the USILA poll as previous number-one ranked Le Moyne (5-1) dropped to second. Adelphi (4-0) moved up two spots to third, with Limestone (6-1) up to fourth and Mercy (5-1) in fifth. Limestone is one of six SAC schools in this week's rankings, with Wingate in sixth, Lenoir-Rhyne 15th, Queens 17th, Newberry 18th and poll newcomer Anderson in 19th.

Tusculum will host Limestone on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Field. The Saints, whose only loss was an 11-10 neutral-site setback to Wingate on March 5, will host Lander in a non-conference match on Wednesday ahead of Saturday's tilt with the Pioneers.
