GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Ben Boyd scored the game-winning goal 2:17 into overtime as Tusculum College rallied after giving up a five-goal lead in a 12-11 victory over Brevard College in South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

Jackson McKaig tied the score at 7-7 with 14 seconds left in the period, but a quick faceoff win set up Macdonald to restore the Pioneers' lead at 8-7 with 0.7 seconds to play in the third.

Trailing by a goal, the Pioneers were unable to put a shot on goal in three attempts before turning the ball over with 1:22 left. After a timeout, Bell connected with Macdonald for the tying goal with 13.9 seconds left to send the game to overtime tied at 11-11.

Tusculum won the opening faceoff of the overtime and set up on offense, but Brevard goalkeeper Chris Stallings made a save on a shot attempt by Bell. Brevard brought the ball into the offensive end but turned it over, and Tusculum came back for a second possession in the overtime. After Klarner shot wide with just under two minutes left in the extra period, Boyd drove to the goal and went high over Stallings' stick for the game-winner.
