MORRISTOWN, Tenn. --- Tusculum's Blake Williams shot an opening round 75 and is in ninth place after day one of the 2023 Walters State Fall Classic. The two-day, 36-hole event is being held at the par-72, 6,921-yard Country Club of Morristown.
The Tusculum B team carded a first day score of 311 and are in the fifth place in the 10-team field. Lincoln Memorial B has the first day lead with 292, while Roane State is second with 295 followed by Carson-Newman B (304), Covenant (310), Tusculum (311), Walters State (314), Cleveland State (335), Southwest Virginia (356), Pellissippi State (373) and Patrick Henry (375).
LMU's Frazier Laird was the only player in the field to post red numbers following his three-under par 69.
Tusculum's Liam Colohan shot 77 and is tied for 12th while Lawson Harkey posted a 78 and is tied for 17th place. Marinus Jeebe carded an 81 and is tied for 27th and Hunter Hartman is 31st with 82.
The final round will be played on Tuesday.
