MORRISTOWN, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University A Team opened with 299 and are in second place at the 2019 Walters State Fall Classic, which is being held at The Country Club of Morristown.
The Pioneers are 16 shots behind the Carson-Newman University B team who fired a five-under par team score of 283. Host Walters State is third with 303, followed by the Tusculum B team with 308 and Roane State rounding out the scoring with Monday's 318.
Tusculum B's Matt DiBella carded the best score for the Black and Orange with his even-par 72 and is five strokes off the pace set by C-N's Fergus Robinson who fired a 66 (-6).
The duo of Noah Jones and Jeffery Perez lead the Tusculum A team with a pair of 74's and are tied for fifth place. Also for Tusculum A, Kyle Engelbert shot 75 and is tied for eighth place and Liam Sweeney shot 76 and is 11th. Mark Healy posted an 80 and is tied for 22nd to wrap-up the Tusculum A team scoring.
Hunter Chandley shot 76 and is tied for 11th place playing for Tusculum B. Marko Jokic and John Bennett are tied for 22nd place with scores of 80, while Bennett Noe rounds out the scoring with his 83 and is tied for 25th.
The final round will be played Tuesday on the par-72, 7,055-yard layout.
